As one of the publicity co-chairs for Stanford AASA’s 2019 Listen to the Silence, an Asian-American and Pacific Islander issues conference, I took a lead role in designing the promotional and branding materials for this year’s conference. More info on AASA and the conference can be found here.
Tools & Materials:
Adobe Illustrator and creative collaboration
Takeaways:
working on graphic design with a team
creating a visual theme for a written description
The theme for the 2019 conference is Avenues to Activism: a collective call to action. We took this theme and created a logo inspired by a street sign to give a direct reference to avenues and used a bold color and font, imagery generally used to depict activism.
